This past weekend, our Mountain Wolf Lamborghini returned to the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza for the second round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup – a race weekend packed with adrenaline, emotion, and over 40,000 passionate motorsport fans.
With a 58-car grid featuring world-class drivers and manufacturers, the iconic Temple of Speed once again delivered a fierce battle. Our PRO crew in the #63 Mountain Wolf Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n GT3 EVO2 by Grasser Racing Team – led by reigning DTM champion Mirko Bortolotti alongside Luca Engstler and Jordan Pepper – was more than ready for the challenge on home soil.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s qualifying session was a highlight of the weekend.
Stint 1: Mirko Bortolotti clocked in with a solid P7, keeping the team in striking distance.
Stint 2: Luca Engstler pushed the #63 further up the grid with an impressive P5.
Stint 3: Jordan Pepper delivered under pressure and secured P3, resulting in a strong combined starting position for Sunday’s race.<\/p>\n

When the lights turned green, it wasn’t just our Lamborghini charging forward – it was the entire Mountain Wolf crew holding their breath as the field stormed into Monza’s notorious first chicane. Bortolotti showcased lightning-fast reflexes, overtaking Mercedes driver Maro Engel into Turn 1, despite tight traffic from two AMG competitors and another Lamborghini on the inside.<\/p>\n
As the race progressed, Bortolotti held P4 before a Full Course Yellow shuffled the deck. The McLaren of Macdonald took advantage and passed him, but Mirko managed a clean pit entry under green flag conditions.
Luca Engstler took over and rejoined just moments before another incident triggered an FCY, leaving him unable to recover the position advantage. While other teams boxed under caution, we had already committed, falling back in the order. Engstler battled fiercely through the midfield during a race full of restarts and interruptions, but fortune was not on our side. As Jordan Pepper took over for the final stint, a delay with the air jack in the pit box cost precious seconds. Shortly after rejoining the race, contact with another car dealt the final blow. With the car significantly out of contention and further risk on the table, the team made the tough decision to retire the #63.<\/p>\n
Despite the DNF, the performance from all three drivers and the crew in Monza was a clear signal of the potential within this package. From bold overtakes to consistency across all stints, the Mountain Wolf spirit was alive and loud at the birthplace of Lamborghini.<\/p>\n
